Sara, celebrating 57 fabulous years with the Your Face, Your Story Project.
Sara travelled from Sydney for the Your Face, Your Story Project. We incorporated an evening last night at the gallery for her book, The Sunbird.
I take a mug shot portrait of every one of the My Face, Your Story participants before everything begins and for those who live outside of Tenterfield, I have to take their mug shot via zoom. I will never pretend to be able to take a good portrait via zoom so the first thing I do when we have the shoot day is to replace their zoom mug shot with a better one!
I can’t wait to share a few more photos from Sara’s shoot today, but first the updated mug shot!
I asked Sara how she felt about her age, and she responded, “I feel good about my age, and that’s probably because I’m content and healthy. I’ve had a lot of great experiences and have been met and been involved with many wonderful and interesting people. Allowing for the fact that there are always new experiences to be had, I am mostly doing what I want to do. I work for myself, and I’ve just published a book. I feel very lucky. I have a great family, good friends and a home where I feel safe and comfortable.”
I have had a lovely two days with Sara and was thrilled she travelled from Sydney for this project.
The Your Face, Your Story Project is all about celebrating the lives of women over 40 and challenging the stereotypes of women and ageing.
Be part of the revolution!
I am looking for 40 women over 40 to be part of this project and I have a few spots remaining for this 2024 intake!
