Michelle, celebrating 58 fabulous years with the Your Face, Your Story Project
I asked Michelle what she would say to herself if she could go back in time and she replied, “You are a fantastic strong and independent person who needs to love you for being you.” Michelle also added, “In some ways being older is a blessing as it takes a lot of stress and judgement motivators our of your life (but also provides some negative ones). I think it makes you kinder, less judgemental and inclusive, the looking for ‘good’ in everything……. or my favourite go-to……. My rose-coloured glasses.”
I love all these beautiful thoughts that these incredible women are sharing with me.
Michelle and I had a lovely morning recently for her shoot which took us out and about in Tenterfield, and then back to the studio. I treasure these hours when lovely people sit with me for a while.
I have 4 shoots remaining for the project which will end with a celebratory exhibition in February. The exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday 8th February from 9am to 1pm. The Your Face, Your Story Project is a project celebrating the lives of 40 women over 40 and challenging the stereotypes of women and ageing.
