Michele, celebrating 53 fabulous years with the Your Face, Your Story Project

Michele travelled from Ipswich way for her Your Face, Your Story Project. The project was a way of not only celebrating her wonderful self but also her relationship with her lovely friend Annette and we even got a few photos with her husband Jamie. So, it was about a few important things to Michele.

It was lovely to spend a little time with her and I am looking forward to seeing her and Annette again very shortly!

I loved when I asked Michele how she felt about her age and she replied, “I can’t believe I’m already in my 50’s, still living as if I was in my 30’s” as it summed up how I feel!!!

I asked all the participants of the project the same series of questions – one of my favourite questions was when I asked them what they would say to their younger self if they could go back in time and talk to her.  Michele replied, “Don’t set such high expectations, hard times happen to everyone, stay true and strong to who you are.”  If only we could have had our older selves to talk to when we were younger.

The Your Face, Your Story exhibition will culminate with an exhibition in early February which will be open to the public on Saturday 8th February from 9am to 1pm. The Your Face, Your Story Project is a project celebrating the lives of 40 women over 40 and challenging the stereotypes of women and ageing.

Registrations are now open for the 2025 Project. The project will open to those who have registered their interest on the 17th February and to the general public on the 3rd March 2025. For information head to: https://www.mynotesfrom.com/yourfaceyourstory
