Leanne, a Water Warrior

In Leanne’s words:

My first Metaqua session was 6 years ago when Amanda first brought this amazing program to town!!

I started as I was after something gentle to compliment my love of running.

Exercise is so important no matter how little you do.

After working office jobs for half- my life (yep 30years and now 61yo) my neck and shoulders have suffered. I find Metaqua releases the stiffness and strengthens the muscles, so I am able to continue to keep my garden up to scratch without the aftereffects of physical work and it also gives me the endurance to continue to run.

The program is very flexible, and I find some days I feel like doing extra laps and other days I am happy to paddle along and enjoy the serenity of the water. I call it my water meditation!! For the last 3 years I have been working on my small business from home and I find myself going a bit loopy and Metaqua certainly helps with that!  The sessions are very sociable, and you don’t have to worry about it being about bikini bodies – it is just a great bunch of age and fitness levels exercising together.

I only wish the Stanthorpe pool was open all year as I notice the difference both physical and mentally in the off season.

Thank you, Amanda, for introducing me to Metaqua as it is an exercise I can do for many years to come.

Leanne”
