Kim, celebrating 62 fabulous years with the Your Face, Your Story Project

With Kim’s Your Face, Your Story Project we started off in the studio and then headed to her home as that is her happy place and a big part of who she is.

One of the reasons that Kim wanted to be part of the Your Face, Your Story Project was because she has a story, she has lived a life and because she would love to have photos of herself, portraying who she is right now.

All three of those reasons summed up why this project is so important to me. Because women over 40 are often overlooked and often forget to celebrate themselves the way they are right now. It is important and I love providing the space so that may happen, if only for a few hours.

I asked Kim what she would say to herself if she could go back in time and talk to your younger self and she replied, “Be more assertive and strong, to ask for help when I needed it.”

These messages to their younger selves are such beautiful life lessons.

The Your Face, Your Story exhibition will culminate with an exhibition in early February which will be open to the public on Saturday 8th February from 9am to 1pm. The Your Face, Your Story Project is a project celebrating the lives of 40 women over 40 and challenging the stereotypes of women and ageing.

Registrations are now open for the 2025 Project. The project will open to those who have registered their interest on the 17th February and to the general public on the 3rd March 2025. For information head to: https://www.mynotesfrom.com/yourfaceyourstory
