Jacqueline - celebrating 56 fabulous years with the Your Face, Your Story Project.
I had Jacqueline's shoot recently and it was lovely to sit with her and shoot the breeze for a while. We spent a couple hours in the studio and then headed to Jacqueline's special place; her home, workspace, and mountain. I am always very aware of the privilege that it is to be allowed into someone's space.
I am catching up with Jacqueline this week to deliver her gallery and I can't wait for her to see her images. In the meantime, I wanted to share a sneak peek from her shoot. This pic, possibly the last image from her shoot, was on Jacqueline's mountain, as the day was drawing to a close.
I asked Jacqueline what the Your Face, Your Story Project meant to her and she replied as follows:
"Each of us has a story and mine has been as long and winding as many but I have for decades struggled with images of myself. It's only in the turning back that I realised I was quite lovely all along so why not take the excuse to mark another such milestone along with other wonderful women brave enough to shine."
The Your Face, Your Story Project is an inspiration project celebrating the lives of 40 women over 40 and challenging the stereotypes of women and ageing.
I look forward to sharing the faces and stories of these incredible women in the months ahead.
