If we stand for nothing

If we stand for nothing

If we stand for nothing

It looks like the ceasefire will break on Saturday with the enthusiastic backing of Trump who is going to “take” Gaza. No doubt the Palestinians will be blamed even though Israel has killed over 100 Palestinians in Gaza, is turning the West Bank into another Gaza and has not delivered on one of the aid components of the ‘ceasefire’ deal. Luckily, we have been taught to hate, and we can blame the nasty terrorists.

I have very few words today. Oday sent me a message this morning part of which said, “The coming days will be difficult.” That about sums it up, my heart is broken for humanity, but I refuse to lose hope. One day we will all stand. I must believe it.

If we stand for nothing

If we stand for nothing,

it is for anything we will fall.

If we say it is not worth the fight,

then our risk is to lose it all.

If we can’t speak up for those

without a voice

silence will greet us

when we need it most.

Humanity, humanity

was never meant

to be a choice.
