Helen, celebrating 56 fabulous years with the Your Face, Your Story Project.
Helen is one of the incredible women participating in the Your Face, Your Story Project and was the first to have her shoot last weekend. Helen sent me this message following the shoot, “I had such a lovely time. I was sad it had to end” and I felt the same.
The Your Face, Your Story Project is all about celebrating the lives of women over 40. With Helen’s shoot, we wanted to create images that captured Helen’s many different sides. We had several outfit changes in the studio and some of the shoot involved capturing Helen and her beautiful sense of movement.
Helen is an absolute rockstar. She is a founding member of Shimmy 2 Support (on FB: Shimmy in the Glen) which uses the fun of belly dancing to begin meaningful conversations, raise awareness, and fundraise for support services for the victims and survivors of domestic and family abuse. She is a powerhouse of a woman doing good things for people.
She can also move like you would not believe!
I am catching up with Helen later this month to go through her gallery which I am very excited about, but I promised Helen that I would share a couple of images from her shoot before then.
This is the second image from Helen's shoot that I have shared, the rest will wait until Helen sees her gallery! I cannot wait to see which image is Helen’s favourite.
The Your Face, Your Story Project is all about celebrating the lives of women over 40 and challenging the stereotypes of women and ageing.
