Conversations with Oday

I can’t begin to imagine the pain the people of Palestine, Lebanon, and the Levant must feel as they battle with the machine that is trying to erase them and dehumanise them. If you don’t think it matters to you here in Australia, look up the Lattouf vs ABC case this week in Australia when the Managing Director of our National Broadcaster questioned if Lattouf had even proven if there was such a thing as a Lebanese, Middle Eastern or Arab race. Imagine if some big nob questioned the authenticity of an Israeli existence?  The outcry would be deafening.

We are now living in a world where if you make people hate another people enough, we will allow anything to happen.

Oday is my friend. At 21, he is the sole provider for his beloved family in Gaza and needs our help. His dream is to help them evacuate or help them rebuild. Ultimately, he just wants them to be safe.

If you can help at all, no donation too small, it would make such a difference to people who are in dire need, and it would send a message of kindness.

To help Oday and his family the best way is to donate directly to their fundraising accounts:

Oday’s GoFundMe Account which supports his whole family

Oday’s sister Ameera and his nephew Amir

You can donate to me at the shop. The smallest donation for us, can make the biggest difference to Oday and his family.

Thank you,

xxxLara
