Oday is kind, he doesn’t wish ill on anybody, despite it all.
The horrors continue in Palestine. Biden just secured an additional $8 billion package to help Israel. Pity that money couldn’t go to California considering that Los Angeles recently cut their fire department budget by $17.5m. Defies belief that the city of Los Angeles still allocated $50 million to the support of Israel’s war machine. Awesome idea to prioritise the killing of other people over the protection of your own.
Finally, the US House voted to pass a bill to sanction anyone associated with the International Criminal Court who attempts to prosecute them or their allies. The Speaker of the house stated that the ICC “does not have jurisdiction over Israel or the United States.” International Law does not apply to Israel and the US of A, and they are not even bothering to hide it anymore. That should terrify us all.
The world is in a terrible mess and what it needs more than anything is for as many people as possible to be kind. Just like Oday.
Oday is my friend. At 21, he is the sole provider for his beloved family in Gaza and needs our help. Every day is a struggle for survival for his family. His dream is to help them evacuate as soon as border crossings are opened.
