For over 70 days the staff of Kamal Adwan Hospital have fought desperately to save their patients and to continue to be able to look after the besieged people of Northern Gaza. For over 70 days you could find the most glorious, and heroic example of humanity in those brave souls. Yesterday Kamal Adwan Hospital fell. The patients who could be moved were “moved” to a hospital that is no longer functioning. The remaining staff were stripped, paraded, searched and taken to a “detention centre”.  The patients who could not be moved, were not moved. The hospital was then set alight. The whereabouts of Dr Hussan Abu, Safiya, the director of the Kamal Adwan Hospital who was detained by the Occupation Forces is unknown.

For over 70 days you could find humanity at the Kamal Adwan Hospital. You could also see where humanity does not exist. It does not exist in our governments who continue to arm this vile entity with either arms or impunity. It does not exist in Western Media who either lie or stay silent, even when their colleagues are being indiscriminately murdered and it does not exist in those who remain silent.

I am with Oday. Human rights mean nothing.

Oday is my friend. At 21, he is the sole provider for his beloved family in Gaza and needs our help. Every day is a struggle for survival for his family. His dream is to help them evacuate as soon as border crossings are opened.

If you can help at all, no donation too small, it would make such a difference to people who are in such dire need.

To help Oday and his family please see below:

You can donate directly to his GoFundMe Account

You can also donate to Oday’s sister Ameera who has a separate fundraising account to support her and her young son, Oday’s nephew Amir.

You can donate to me at the shop. I also have fundraisers instore and online.

My Christmas wish is also simple. That we lived in a kinder world.

Thank you,

xxxLara
