Conversations with Oday.
There is nowhere left to go in Gaza. 2 million Palestinians have been corralled into 39 square kilometres. Once the world's largest open-air prison, Gaza is now a cage.
39 square kilometres and 2 million people with no running water, no plumbing, no sewage system, no electricity, no fully functioning hospitals. What food, water, and medicine people can access, comes at an exorbitant price. Survival is a daily torturous battle.
I am desperately trying to help my friend Oday keep his family in Gaza alive. Please help if you can, even if it is just the price of a coffee, it quite literally could mean the difference between life and death for Oday's family.
I met @oday_aburaida through @projectlovebrocade, a worldwide initiative amplifying the voices of the people of Palestine. We were matched due to our mutual love of photography. Oday was studying photography and graphic design when the 6-day war started in 2022 and he had to abandon his studies to support his family.
I am trying to help Oday raise funds for his family through various different fundraising options as follows:
Firstly the best way to help Oday is to donate directly to his verified GoFundMe Page - this is now one of the only ways to get funds to the people of Gaza.
His link is here: https://gofund.me/19dbdd50
Secondly, I have an ebook version of a small poetry collection called Poems of Palestine. $15 from every sale goes directly to Oday.
Finally, I am selling Flower Inspiration Cards in-store and online - $3.00 from every card sold goes to Oday and his family.
If you can assist, thank you
