Conversations with Oday

No words.

Imagine that for over 12 months you have been displaced multiple times, everything you own is sheltered by pieces of dilapidated canvas and pieces of wood and a storm arrives.

Oday is my friend. If you can help at all, I would be forever grateful.  He is trying to keep his family alive. I met @oday_aburaida through @projectlovebrocade, a worldwide initiative amplifying the voices of the people of Palestine.

Any money raised assists Oday's family with the basics that in Gaza mean the difference between life and death.

There are many ways you can help Oday and his family.

The best way is to donate directly to his GoFundMe Account:

Oday's beautiful sister Ameera and young son are on Instagram @ameeraida995 and her fundraising link is https://spot.fund/m734llsc

I have an ebook version of a small poetry collection called Poems of Palestine:

I am selling Flower Inspiration Cards:

You can follow Oday's relief project on Instagram: @gap_gaza

This project has already made two life-saving deliveries of water to Northen Gaza and is currently working on a delivery of meals.

You can donate directly to this relief project

Thank you,

xxxLara

I would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of Tenterfield, the place where I call home, the Kamilaroi, Jukembal, and Ngarabal people.

I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters, and communities.

I pay my respects to Elders past and present.
