Conversations with Oday

Yet another deadly week for Palestine and my friend Oday is heartbroken and tired. Nobody should feel the type of exhaustion (that most of us don’t have to imagine) where your mere existence is a daily battle for survival. I am so terribly sad for Oday and his family and some days, words simply do not suffice.

Oday is my young Palestinian friend, and I am trying to help him keep his family alive. Any donation makes a difference, no matter how small.

I met @oday_aburaida through @projectlovebrocade, a worldwide initiative amplifying the voices of the people of Palestine. Oday and I were matched due to our mutual love of photography and the fact that he is not much older than Archie and Rissie.

Any money raised assists Oday's family with the basics that we all take for granted but in Gaza, can mean the difference between life and death. Shelter. Food. Water. Medicine.

Please note that if you bought tickets in the Art for Oday Raffle that Jacqueline King and I will be finalising the raffle on Saturday.

There are many ways you can help Oday as follows:

The best way to help Oday is to donate directly to his GoFundMe Account:

I have an ebook version of a small poetry collection called Poems of Palestine.

Finally, I am selling Flower Inspiration Cards in-store and online

You can follow Oday's relief project on Instagram: @gap_gaza
