Catherine, celebrating 50 fabulous years with the Your Face, Your Story Project

I worked with Catherine many moons ago when we were both suited and booted and working for Conrad Treasury. Whilst we have both aged and changed with the years one thing has been a constant about Catherine and that is the most glorious acceptance of her fabulous self. It is something I remembered about Catherine and it was something wonderful to be around again for a little while.

This lovely acceptance was reflected in two of the questions that I asked Catherine…..

How do you feel about your age? I feel lucky to be healthy and happy. I feel comfortable in my skin and comfortable with my stage of life. My beautiful mum passed away when she was 51. I feel blessed to have my health and to be loving my life.

What is the biggest positive thing about your age for you? Having 50 years of experience behind me. Knowing who I am, and where I want to be. Having the confidence to make decisions that I know will benefit myself and my loved ones.

What is the biggest negative thing about your age for you? I guess it would be knowing that more than half of my life has passed by. Somewhat daunting.

The Your Face, Your Story exhibition will culminate with an exhibition in early February - open to the public on Saturday 8th February from 9am to 1pm. The Your Face, Your Story Project is a project celebrating the lives of 40 women over 40 and challenging the stereotypes of women and ageing.

Registrations are now open for the 2025 Project. The project will open to those who have registered their interest on the 17th February and to the general public on the 3rd March 2025. For information head to: https://www.mynotesfrom.com/yourfaceyourstory
