Ann, celebrating 53 fabulous years with the Your Face, Your Story Project

The Your Face, Your Story Project 2024 will culminate with a celebratory exhibition evening in early February. Initially I had thought I would pick the images for the exhibition but early into the project I realised that more stories would be told if the women chose their exhibition images themselves.

Ann and I had been going back and forth about her pick for the exhibition and she had it narrowed down to three. This image of Ann was one of my favourites and about it Ann said, “I kind of like the idea of you using the one of me in red - I like who I used to me, and miss her a bit, this one does capture her really well. My other 2 favourites are more who I am now - but I wouldn’t hate it at all if you did the one in red.

I thought Ann’s words were a lovely reminder that we need to remember who we used to be and remember to visit her.

The Your Face, Your Story exhibition will be open to the public on Saturday 8th February from 9am to 1pm. The Your Face, Your Story Project is a project celebrating the lives of 40 women over 40 and challenging the stereotypes of women and ageing.

Registrations are now open for the 2025 Project. The project will open to those who have registered their interest on the 17th February and to the general public on the 3rd March 2025. For information head to: https://www.mynotesfrom.com/yourfaceyourstory
